✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • This will vary month to month - sometimes we’re casting up to 10 project simulatenously (including commercials, TV and Film) and other months are a little quieter so just keep an eye out!

  • Nope! Street is not designed for professional actors and we don’t expect to see professional collateral. We only ask that your photos are clear and reflect you at the time of the application. Selfies are fine!

  • Also nope! This is where we’re looking for the ‘inexperienced’, the real world and non actor types. We may ask that you’re experienced in a specific skill, but you would only apply if you are in fact skilled as such. You do not need any acting or experience on set to apply.

  • No. The monthly subscription fee is the only payment required and this is to ensure your data remains secure via the third party software. Under no circumstances should you be required to pay for individual casting calls or applications.

  • Street charges a modest subscription fee to have your profile hosted on our secure platform in a way that protects your privacy and opens the doors to casting opportunities, without you needing to look for them or apply externally for them. The fee also supports automated security measures, data protection and faster opportunity matchmaking.

  • We receive several (sometimes thousands) of applications and we can’t always get back to everyone. You will be notified if you proceed to the next round (typcally within a week) otherwise you may not hear from us until we notify you that the role has been cast.

  • No. We are a casting platform and service focused on matching unrepresented talent with relevant creative opportunities. We don't represent or manage talent. Additionally, we don't take a commission from talent for each job they secure (like an agent or manager would). If you decide you'd like to pursue performance or commercial work professionally and obtain representation by a talent agent, you cancel your subscription and let your agent manage your castings. It is the responsibility of the talent / subscriber to manage this and cancel their subscription.

  • If you’ve got an agent and you’re a professional actor, Street isn’t the right place for you, but Chicken & Chips Casting would love to hear from you! Please see the ACTORS page on our Chicken & Chips website. Street endeavours to only sign-up unrepresented talent and has been designed for that purpose alone. Please do not subscribe to Street of you are a professional actor.

  • The Street database is only accessible to Chicken and Chips Casting & Lumi. This ensures your data is protected and you can feel confident that professional casting directors are only presenting relevant material and information as required by the project. Profiles will be shared with producers, directors or creators after permission has been granted by talent.

  • Yes - anytime. When you subscribe, you will receive an email with a cancellation link at the bottom of the email. You may also cancel by simply logging into stripe and cancelling, or log back into your application and cancel. Also if there are any issues with the above processes, you can reach out to Lumi via email support and you can be unsubscribed manually.

  • Yes. Each casting call will be applicable to a different project, production team and director. They all require specific question answered or criteria met and you will not be considered for a Casting Call unless you apply for it.

  • Street & Chicken and Chips Casting are not responsible for employment or any payments. If you are successful in booking a role, you will be employed by an Advertising Agency, Production Company, Network or Talent Payment Specialists (depending on the project) and they will be in touch regarding your payment.
